Dr. Jolyon Johnson, our Chief of Staff, founded Wendell Veterinary Clinic in 1978. A Sunapee native, he grew up here and still lives here today. He attended the University of New Hampshire for his undergraduate degree, and Cornell University for his veterinary degree. He has also practiced at the Middletown Animal Hospital in Middletown, CT.
All aspects of general veterinary medicine appeal to Dr. Johnson, especially surgery and client support. He has dedicated nearly 40 years to providing quality, affordable veterinary care to all of his clients. He aspires to provide the best services possible, and believes that every caring person should be able to have the special bond that comes with a companion animal.
Dr. Johnson has many pets of his own, including dogs (Pugs and Labs for now), cats, goats, donkeys, dairy cattle, sheep, geese, Earl the pig, and whatever else needs a home. In addition to animals, he is also passionate about conservation, wildlife habitat preservation, history, and heritage appreciation.
