A Sunapee native, Susan studied at Mount Ida College (Newton, MA), where she earned a degree in Veterinary Technology. She is also a Federal and New Hampshire State Wildlife Rehabilitator. Susan brings with her more that 30 years of extensive experience in surgical nursing, anesthesia and veterinary practice management. Her animal experience is wide ranged from small to large animals, wildlife rehabilitation, canine behavior modification, and training of search, rescue, and accelerant detection (arson) canines.

In her spare time, Susan enjoys farming, raising/training canines, wildlife rehabilitation and helping run the family’s ice cream parlor on their working dairy farm. Together with her husband Dr. Johnson, they have a blended family including biological, adopted, foster children and many four-legged companions.

Veterinary Technician Susan with Dog RainaSusan earned an Associate degree in Veterinary Science and has maintained her career as a certified veterinary technician (CVT) working in clinical and surgical veterinary medicine for over 23 years. She has extensive experience in surgical nursing and anesthesia in multiple species including rodents, rabbits, swine, sheep and companion animals. Her breadth of knowledge, skills, and abilities in surgical anesthesia and clinical medicine, combined with her genuine compassion for animal health and wellness, make her a superlative caregiver and diversified clinical professional.

Veterinary Assistant Pat with ParrotPat is a veterinary assistant and bookkeeper here at Wendell Veterinary Clinic. She was born in Mt. Laurel, NJ and graduated from Lenape High School. Pat then attended Rutgers University and received an Accredited Records Technician (ART) degree from the American Medical Records Association through Temple University in Philadelphia in 1976.

Pat worked as Director of Medical Record Department at a large medical facility in Trenton, NJ for several years prior to turning her hobby into a full-time career as a horse trainer/riding instructor and operating a horse boarding facility in Southampton, NJ where she had horses and students compete from local through the National Horse Show level in the Hunter/Jumper discipline. She operated Yankee Pet & Supply in Newport, NH for six years before joining the Wendell Veterinary Clinic team in 2007.

Tiffany Ayotte with a canine friendTiffany grew up in Newport, NH and graduated from Newport High School in 2011. She currently lives in Lempster, NH with her fiancé, Tyson, and four-legged friends: Benji, a sweet poodle, Watson, a Golden Doodle, whose has a great personality, and Ollie, a mischievous Yorkie.

While not interacting with animals, Tiffany enjoys photography, antiquing, and interior design. She is a quick learner and enjoys on-the-job training. Being able to work with animals every day at the Wendell Veterinary Clinic is a dream come true for Tiffany, and she looks forward to growing and learning each day.

veterinary assistant oliviaOlivia joined the Wendell Veterinary Clinic in February 2017 as a Veterinary Assistant. She was raised down the field from her Grandfather’s farm in Sunapee. She spent plenty of her childhood there playing with the chickens, kittens, pigs, cows and horses.

Though Olivia is new to joining the Wendell team, the love of animals has always been something close to the heart. She is eager to learn new things each day! Her favorite part is being able to see the bond between our clients and their owners. While the pets are here she loves to help fill that void with her own love. She loves that each animal has their own characteristics and life story.

Staff Ashley Irish with a RabbitAshley was born and raised in Claremont, NH. She attended Stevens Highschool and graduated with the class of 2015 and continued her education at NHTI Concord Community College, where she received her Associates degree in Criminal Justice. After graduation, Ashley was hired as a correctional officer for the Vermont DOC. Residing at this job for a year plus, she decided to pursue her other passion, animals.

Veterinary Assistant Tracy Prescott with horseTracy joined the Wendell Veterinary Clinic in October 2017. Originally from Connecticut, her family moved to New Hampshire in 1986. She has a lifetime of animal experience from the farm to the hospital. She resides in New London with her family, and enjoys summer vacations in the Maine coast and ranching adventures at Eatons Ranch in Wyoming.

 

amy-dog-gingerAmy grew up in Brattleboro, VT and has recently moved to the Lebanon, NH area. As a child she always had a love for animals, especially dogs, as she grew up with two golden retrievers. She attended UNH for three years where she received her Associate’s degree in Animal Science and Business. She then went on to receive her certificate in Professional Dog Grooming and was a dog groomer in Greenfield, MA for two years.

Amy hopes to broaden her knowledge on all kinds of small animals and enjoys being able to comfort and care for the pets at Wendell Veterinary Clinic. In her spare time, Amy enjoys relaxing at her parent’s camp at Mascoma Lake, hanging out with her dog, Shelby, and enjoying the outdoors.
