Wendell Veterinary Clinic is looking for a passionate, multi-departmental veterinary employee to join our team. We are a busy, active, non-stop, full-service hospital. This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule, however, rotating evening, and weekend shifts will be required.
This position is responsible for making our clients feel welcome and appreciated while managing multiple phone lines, booking appointments, greeting clients/pets, processing payments, and ensuring that the reception area of the hospital is clean and presentable at all times. This position also includes animal handling responsibilities, and other veterinary assistant duties including within the examination room and the surgical suite.
Candidates must have excellent skills in the following areas: a passion for the health and well-being of pets, client service, sales, communication, and multitasking. We are looking for someone with a great attitude, outgoing personality, a genuine innate ability to put people at ease, a high level of computer proficiency and exceptional telephone communication ability. Most importantly, applicants must be team players who enjoy working as part of a team in a high energy, fast-paced environment. Priority will be given to applicants with experience working in a veterinary hospital.
